July Tarotscopes: Love Will Lead the Way

Can you believe we are past the halfway point of 2020?! Whether you’re in the camp of “This year is dragging” or “Where did the last six months of my life go?!,” just remember to start where you are and meet yourself in this moment. That’s all you need to do.

The card for the month of July is the Three of Swords, reversed. There have been heavy energies going on in the world lately, and July is looking to be more of the same…with a caveat.

We are continuing to hurt, but the reversal of this card may indicate a turning point: There is light at the end of a very dark tunnel. It’s important to listen to your hearts, take care of your wounds, and be kind with yourselves as much as you can this month. We could all use some TLC. We are fragile, and the past few months have taken us to our edge, so just remember to embrace love—for yourself and others. Love and compassion will lead the way.

Let’s dig deep into your individual signs, shall we?

Cancer: The Hanged Man

Release what you’ve been holding onto so very tightly, Cancerarians. The Hanged Man reminds us to let go of rigid beliefs and allow our inner nature to guide us. I know, it feels good to be in control—especially during times like these—but relinquish some of that control, and you may find yourself feeling a bit lighter after many months of heaviness.

Leo: Page of Wands

It’s time to reconnect with your creativity and purpose, dear Leos. Maybe it’s a hobby that you never truly committed to before or a book that’s been sitting on your shelf unread. Whatever it is, release expectations and embrace this new project with a curious and open heart.

Virgo: Seven of Pentacles

Whew, it’s been a busy few months for you, Virgo friends. You’ve been working your pants off, and now you have a chance to relax a little and enjoy the fruits of your labor. The Seven of Pentacles is a sign that those seeds you planted a while back are growing nicely; they will help to nourish your soul and purpose down the road. Give yourself a pat on the back—you’ve earned it.

Libra: Nine of Pentacles

If you feel like the past few months you’ve hardly had time to come up for air, that’s because you’ve been working H-A-R-D, and it’s beginning to show with the Nine of Pentacles. You, like your Virgo friends this month, can take a few deep breaths and know that you’re coming to a more stable spot in your work and career. And if it doesn’t feel like that now, it will in the near future, so remember to be patient!

Scorpio: The Chariot

Follow your internal compass this month, Scorpios. You’re not one to just “go along with the crowd,” and The Chariot offers a good reminder to keep on dancing to the beat of your own drum. It’s okay if people look at you funny—ignore those naysayers! They don’t know what you know, plus you’ll feel more empowered when you follow your gut.

Sagittarius: The Fool

Expansion is your theme for this month, Sagittarians. With the Fool, it’s clear that you’re craving some freedom and room to grow. The goal here is to put less pressure on where you’ll end up and focus more on the next step in front of you. Invite presence into your life, and you’ll feel lighter, freer. With mindfulness in your heart, you’ll begin to realize that the freedom you seek is already within you.

Capricorn: Knight of Swords, reversed

Speak less, listen more. With the Knight of Swords in the reversed position, you may find more meaning in quieting down and listening to those around you. It may be tempting to offer your own opinions or expertise, but try to resist and really hear what people have to say. There’s more knowledge to gain by using your ears more than your words this month.

Aquarius: Knight of Cups

Balance and equilibrium. Picture the Knight of Cups on his horse: The Cup he holds is perfectly balanced, not a drop of liquid spilling to the earth. It’s time to slow it down, Aquarians, and get grounded. I know you like to fly high in the sky most days, but this month is asking you to root down and find the right cadence that works with your life. This new, slower pace will help you to level out, which might be something you’ve unconsciously been needing lately.

Pisces: Two of Wands, reversed

Do you feel like you’ve lost a bit of direction in your life? Does it feel like you made a mistake and need to backtrack? Take July to recalibrate and refocus. You may have been feeling rather scattered; now is the time to get back to basics and reassess where you’re headed. We all need to find our footing every now and then, just remember to take it easy on yourself and don’t beat yourself up. It wasn’t time wasted; it was a lesson learned.

Aries: Six of Cups, reversed

You’ve been giving a lot recently in many different ways—your time, your money, your heart, your energy—to those in need. It is noble, and we see you for your good deeds. But remember there has to be a balance: it’s okay to be on the receiving end once in a while. Don’t be shy to ask for what you need from your loved ones and those around you. Your energy is too vibrant to get depleted this month! Embrace that give and take harmony.

Taurus: The Hierophant

Who are your mentors in life? With The Hierophant, this month is an invitation to seek out those who can provide guidance and wisdom. How can you step out of your comfort zone and truly embrace what you don’t know? Let these questions both motivate and direct you to where you could use some growth and expansion in your life. Become the student this month and absorb everything like a sponge!

Gemini: The Star

The Star’s energy is always welcome. Let this month be a time when you go inward, get a little quieter, and dip your toes into your intuition. If it sounds a bit woo-woo, that’s because it IS! And it is such good soul medicine that you don’t want to miss out on it. Embrace it, even if it feels uncomfortable. Spend some time in nature—preferably under the stars—and drink in the medicine of the universe.
