September Tarotscopes: Cha-Cha-Changes

Over the last several months, many people have expressed how strangely time seems to be passing by. In one way, the time has flown by, and in other ways, it’s crept along at a snail’s pace. Since the pandemic started, some of us have been forced to slow down and take stock of our lives, while others have been grappling with new or altered family roles and responsibilities—and there aren’t enough hours in the day.

The card for the month of September is the Two of Wands, an interesting card as it depicts a man holding a small globe, a symbol that the world is in his hands. There is massive potential and future discoveries waiting for him…if he accepts them, that is. Since we’re all experiencing shifts—both internal and external—the Two of Wands beckons us to see the possibilities ahead. It encourages us to take chances and necessary risks to live fuller lives. Change is coming, and you’ll be asked to make moves that are grounded in intention and alignment.

Because we all process change differently, this period of time might feel energizing for some and uncomfortable for others. As often as you can, breathe into the present moment. Savor what you can—you’ll look back on this time and realize just how pivotal it was.

Now that we have this month’s overarching theme out of the way, let’s get down to your individual signs, shall we?

*Many of the individual cards this month are court cards (Knight, Queen, King, etc.), which means that you’ll be asked to take back the reins of your life and lead with authority. With the Two of Wands as the overarching theme of change, this means you’ll be taking ownership of your life in new ways.*

Virgo: Knight of Wands

Favorable circumstances are waiting for you, Virgos. Don’t procrastinate on passion projects this month—they could carry an opportunity that you least expect. Be open and receptive; it will pay off in the end.

Libra: Four of Wands

Celebrations galore this month! Enjoy this time with loved ones and be grateful for the blessings you have. Even when life is crazy, there are still things to appreciate and celebrate. Make gratitude your focus this month.

Scorpio: Knight of Swords

Communication is key these next few weeks, as you could be easily misinterpreted or misunderstood. Be direct and clear with your words. Speak up for yourself—people will respect you even more when they see you standing up for what you care about.

Sagittarius: King of Swords

This month holds a big realization for you. Something that you’ve been mulling over lately is now starting to make sense. This could apply to work/career, as well as a dynamic within your relationships. You have incredible communication skills and you’re not afraid to speak up for what you believe, so use your voice in a constructive way.

Capricorn: The Lovers

Love is in the air! The message for you, dear Capricorns, is to open yourself up to love and unity. Don’t be afraid to come out of your shell and realize just how much of a catch you are. The Lovers card can apply to romantic relationships with others, but it can also mean embracing love for yourself. So, in the spirit of love, here’s a challenge: each morning this month, look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a big juicy compliment.

Aquarius: Ten of Wands

You’ve got a lot on your plate this month, Aquarians. Your load is heavy, and you’re getting tired. You might be carrying around a lot of worry and anxiety, too. Just remember to take things one step at a time. Listen to your energy levels and take time to rest when you need it. In other words, be kind to yourself!

Pisces: Eight of Cups, reversed

Have you noticed a shift in your life recently? A realization that’s bubbling to the surface of your consciousness? You may experience more clarity this month around a big decision or choice. You may feel the need to step away from something that isn’t working. Continue to dig deep for answers and let go of what doesn’t serve you. When you move in alignment with your inner knowing, all will be well.

Aries: Page of Wands

Has there been something that’s caught your attention lately? A class that piques your interest? Perhaps a hobby you haven’t explored in a while? Explore why this need is arising within you. Spend some quality time with your inner artist this month.

Taurus: King of Pentacles

This month will bring more stability, and you’ll be able to transmit that to family and loved ones as well. People might lean on you because you have the physical and emotional means to provide for them. This is a beautiful thing, especially in a time when many are struggling for support.

Gemini: Knight of Cups, Reversed

The reversal of this card might leave you feeling a bit imbalanced this month. There could be relationships in your life that are pulling you in opposite directions. Are co-workers and work taking time away from family? Maybe there’s tension among friends, leaving you in the middle? Take some time to be really intentional with the people in your life and those you care about most. By slowing down and spending some time alone with your feelings, you could restore some of that balance.

Cancer: Justice

It’s time to make a decision on an important matter that you’ve been procrastinating on—it’s not the time to be wishy-washy. People are depending on you to make up your mind. The Justice card is all about fairness and truth. Choose carefully and consciously—your decision could have long-term repercussions.

Leo: Two of Cups

Commitment and coexistence: How can you honor these dynamics this month? They could show up in the form of compromising with a partner as you juggle family responsibilities. Or, it could mean making needed changes to work harmoniously with a colleague. Whatever the situation, be prepared to meet them halfway.
